Dark Angel Command Squad and Necrons with coloured rods

I've now finished the Dark Angel command squad, equipped with combi-weapons, apothecary, a power fist and the Standard of Devastation (to give nearby squads extra firepower). All but one of the models were from the new Sternguard models, to make them look the part (and also, they're nice models).
Another thing I tried a few days ago was a way of changing the colour of the green clear plastic rods found on Necron gauss flayer guns (as opposed to buying lots of coloured clear plastic rods). This was done by painting the green rods using clear coloured paint by Tamiya and there's some trial and error involved, but it does seem to do the job.

Eldar Guardian

So, I've started on getting recently acquired Eldar models started, working on several different types of models at the same time (as usual). However, here is the first picture, showing a Guardian with my planned colour scheme of dark purple, with a dark green helmet and bone-coloured gun.
I've also made a start on a unit of Dire Avengers, some Fire Dragons, Striking Scorpions, a Wave Serpent and a Wraithknight.

One project that's almost finished is my Dark Angels command squad, which just needs a banner to represent the 'Standard of Devastation' to finish it off. I'll get that done by photocopying a page from the codex that has that banner. For the models, I've used the new all-plastic Sternguard Veterans models (apart from the Apothecary), as they just look so cool.

Finally, I have one more project on the go for the Dark Angels, in the form of a fifth Tactical squad, to be armed with a heavy bolter, flamer and a combi-flamer for the sergeant.

Update on recent progress

So, I have now finished a unit of three all-plastic Tau Broadside battlesuits, which look a heck of a lot bigger than the old plastic/metal kits.
I'm getting close to finishing off a try-out model for how I'm going to do the Eldar Guardians, with the main colour being purple, with other bits being dark green and bone-coloured weapons. Progress will be slow, as there are a whole lot of models that I'm stripping the paint from. I should, however, get some more models - Fire Dragons and Striking Scorpions.
With the Dark Angels, I will eventually get round to completing a command squad (using the new Sternguard models for some members of the unit), as well as Tactical Squad 5 (with flamer and heavy bolter) using the new box set.
